In a few days from now (April 10), yesteryear actress Asha Parekh’s biography will hit the stands. The book, titled The Hit Girl, has been written by senior journalist and author Khalid Mohamed and focuses on the ups and downs, in her career and personal life.
Reportedly, Salman Khan will launch the biography at a suburban hotel. It is said that the superstar was requested to write the foreword in the book, and he immediately agreed.
Asha Parekh shares a great emotional bond with Salman and his family and is a regular visitor to Galaxy Apartments, their Bandra residence. She is also a regular at most family functions hosted by the Khan family. Hence, it didn’t come as a surprise that Salman would launch the actress’s book.
Asha has left an indelible mark on the Indian Film industry with films such as Kati Patang, Pyar Ka Mausam, Teesri Manzil, Ziddi and Mere Sanam among others to her credit. Undoubtedly, it will be interesting to see her spill the beans about her life.
A few days ago, the veteran actress said that if a film was to be made on her life, Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone should play her. “I think Priyanka could play me; she has the naughtiness in her. Also, Deepika Padukone could play me on screen. But this film should be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali,” she chuckled.
In the recent past, a number of celebrities from Karan Johar (The Unsuitable Boy) to Rishi Kapoor (Khullam Khulla: Rishi Kapoor Uncensored) have released their biographies and made their stories known to the world.
